Company management from abroad included in Commercial Code of Estonia

Latest adjustments in the Estonian Commercial Code abolished the requirement of having a local management board.

As of January, the members of the management board are officially allowed to run and manage Estonian companies from abroad. This adjustment was a formal act in order to replace outdated requirements and to support flexible entreprenurial environment, also to follow the latest legal practice with regards to e-Residency.

Also, from now on entrepreneurs are required to submit their e-mail addresses to the commercial registry as the state is looking ways to increase communication through electronic channels.

Among many others, such actions and adjustments in legislation are successful ways to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation while considering the needs and mobility in the business sector.
